This week as my first project I had to take a set of sequence of images for my sequential photography class.
As examples we looked up some famous photographers work such as Eadweard Muybridge, Elliott Erwitt and Stephane Cande.
A classmate and I created our practice sequence on campus using an Iphone. The inspiration was to transmit to whoever will look at the picture the sense of hard work. Seeing this old man work on a cold Tuesday morning was a very beautiful thing to capture.
We created a set of contact sheets of all our original images by using a contact sheet generator .
The following step was to edit the images on Pixlr. I chose to have a white background with some black in it, then I uploaded the images and used the filter to turn them into black and white. I chose to put the pictures in black and white because it makes it easier to see and interpret the main focus of the picture, which is the man working. Then I used the text tool to add the name of the sequence and my name. To finish I downloaded the final work as png and sent it to my Google drive.
For a first time I think the practice went quite well and that we took good pictures with a good focus.
