For my project I will design a multi faith centre based on the theme industrialism . For this project I got inspire by several architects which include Ando Tadao, Frederick Gibberd and John pawson
Tadoa Ando is one of my inspiration for this project because he designed multiple chapels and faith spaces in his career. For this project was parcticularly inspires me is his design of the church of light. Located in Osaka, this iconic structure is one of the most famous architectures of Ando. The interplay of natural light and the cross cut into the concrete wall is a testament to Ando's ability to create spiritual and contemplative spaces.
John pawson is an inspiration in this project because his work on the Chapel of St. Moritz in Germany stands is a testament to his mastery of simplicity and spatial harmony. The chapel, characterised by its clean lines and tranquil ambiance, shows Pawson's dedication to crafting spaces that encourage introspection and spiritual contemplation. His meticulous attention to detail, evident in the careful selection of materials and manipulation of light, showcases a deliberate and restrained aesthetic. As an inspirational figure for this project, Pawson offers valuable insights into the potency of simplicity, thoughtful spatial manipulation, and the profound influence of light in architectural compositions.
Photoshop, Pixlr, and SketchUp are crucial digital tools for me in this design projects. They will help me to visualise and conceptualise my ideas in various ways. Photoshop is great for manipulating and enhancing images and will allow me to perfect my design presentations. It is versatile in creating realistic renderings, adjusting lighting, and integrating different design elements to communicate complex ideas. Pixlr is a user-friendly option that I find valuable for quick edits and enhancements, providing flexibility in my design workflows. SketchUp is essential for three-dimensional modeling, helping me translate conceptual designs into virtual structures. Its user-friendly interface and dynamic modeling capabilities make it easy to create intricate 3D models, aiding in spatial comprehension and design refinement. Using these tools will help me to effectively communicate my visions with peers and tutors.

Decent effort, but it may have been better to spread your research over several posts to demonstrate how each design/designer has impacted your project and influenced your design.
ReplyDeleteAs for making your 2D outcomes, you should look at a combination of traditional and digital outcomes - some Sketchup if you are confident enough, but the point of making the 2 point perspective drawing was to give you some ideas about how you could produce a concept sketch for your project.
