Site Plan - process and final outcomes

The Faith Fusion Centre is located in Freedom Park in Kitwe, Zambia. The area covers 2.39 square kilometers. I will use the three-fourths of the site for the multi-faith centre. The climate in Kitwe is generally mild, with warm and temperate conditions, and the location receives about 1154 mm of precipitation annually (en.climate-data.org, 2019). The site is easily accessible as it is centrally located near malls, hotels, and restaurants, highlighting its commitment to inclusivity. Additionally, the site features a playground surrounded by trees and a stream, adding to its beauty and making it the perfect location for the community to gather because the playground serve for the children and family of the community to gather together and to make the most of nature. This aligns perfectly with the centre's goal of inclusivity.

Demographics

Kitwe is a city located in the northern region of Zambia, which is situated in south-central Africa. It is the main centre for industrial and commercial activities within the copper-belt region. Kitwe's population "Kitwe's 2024 population is now estimated at 792,350. In 1950, the population of Kitwe was 45,887. Kitwe has grown by 29,369 in the last year, which represents a 3.85% annual change" (worldpopulationreview.com, 2024).
