After researching my target market and demographics, I now have to do research on the site analysis to understand the characteristics of the site which is situated near the main road of New Cromwell.
My project is to design an information tourism centre aimed to welcome, help visitors to be more knowledgeable about the city and promote sustainability
The site is located near the 99, in new Cromwell. It is situated near the river and tram station which gives to the site a strategic location and will facilitated tourist to move from the centre to the city's activities.
SITE CONTEXT
New Cromwell is a city in Connecticut that has been burnt down recently, resulting in the community loosing every infrastructure and history they had. Before burning down New Cromwell was known for its
two special historic districts which were the Main Street Historic District and the Middletown Upper Houses Historic District; both listed on the National Register of Historic Places (Connecticut history , 2011).
The site is surrounded by a cultural centre, the tram station and the river Highlands state park. This suggest a high level of tourists near the centre
SITE CHARACTERISTICS
The site measures 143 metres in length and 175 metres in width, resulting in a total area of 30 000 square metres. It is in a pentagon shape and is totally flat. Regarding the vegetation, the site does not have any because everything has been burnt down but near by, in between the river and the site there is a forest with multiple trees and plants. The site will have a direct view on the forest to promote new Cromwell's wild life and also sustainability.
Connecticut has a humid continental climate, with winters that are long and moderately cool, and summers that are short and mild. The climate's continental nature is due to the cold, dry air coming mostly from the northwest in winter, and the warm, moist air mainly coming from the southwest in summer (Gonick et al. 1980).Gonick, W.N., Arthur Eugene Shearin and David Easton Hill (1980). Soil Survey, Litchfield County, Connecticut. [Accessed 19 May 2024].

Good to see this on here - the drawing works well. Should include dimensions of the building itself in your elevations, sections etc. as well as in your site map.
